New Recipe: Honey Soy Glazed Salmon
I love salmon, and seafood period, and cook it all the time but recently I was in the mood to give my salmon a different flavor so I tried a Tasty recipe.
Honey Soy Glazed Salmon
Ingredients:
salmon
olive oil
garlic powder
soy sauce
red pepper
honey
This meal took about 35 - 55 minutes to make. (The salmon marinated for 30 minutes so all in all, the meal did not take long to make.)
First, I created the marinade with using the olive oil, soy sauce, red pepper, honey, and garlic powder. I poured half of the marinade on the salmon and saved the other half for later.
I let the salmon marinate for 30 minutes, then cooked the salmon in a pan. After the salmon was done, I poured the remaining marinade in the pan and reduced the heat until it thickened.
I poured the thickened sauce on the salmon and made some mixed veggies as a side.
Notes: While the salmon was tasty, I found it to be a bit saltier than I would like so next time I would use a little less soy sauce. Be mindful of your soy sauce use if you're like me and don't like salty food.
I don't think it would have hurt to add a few more seasonings to the salmon but overall I had no problem with the taste.
Next time I would like to use maple syrup instead of honey.
Lastly, I would like to try this marinade on some chicken.
